Security and Trust
How we protect your account and your information. Last updated October 2026.
Signing in
- Two steps every time: your password, then a one-time code by email or authenticator app. Staff must use an authenticator app.
- Every sign-in is assessed for a new device, a new network, repeated failures and attack patterns. New devices and networks trigger an email alert with a "Lock my account" link.
- Passwords that appear in public data breaches are refused. After 5 wrong attempts in 15 minutes, sign-in pauses.
- Idle sessions end after 8 hours. Changing your password signs out every other device.
Your information
- We collect only what the platform needs. We never collect Social Security numbers, immigration status or work-authorization documents.
- Documents for background checks are stored privately and opened by staff only through short-lived links.
- Each account sees only its own data. Staff see what they need for teaching and checks, and every staff change is recorded permanently.
- Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Data is stored with our database provider, Supabase, in the United States, and backed up.
- You decide who sees your VerGo: only you, people with your link, or the public.
What VerGo is not
VerGo does not check immigration status or permission to work in the United States, does not collect Form I-9 documents, and is not connected to E-Verify or any government service. Practice results are not official civil service exam scores.
If something goes wrong
We keep a written incident response plan. If personal information is exposed, we notify affected people and the required New York State offices within the time New York law requires, and we explain what happened and what to do.
Report a security problem
If you find a weakness on the platform, email info@usabanglajobs.com with the subject "Security". Please do not access other people's data, change data, or disrupt the service while testing, and give us reasonable time to fix the problem before telling others. We will reply within 5 business days.
Never share your code
US Bangla Career Center (UBCC) will never call, text or email you to ask for your password or sign-in code. If someone does, it is a scam. Call 929-208-5700.
